Find Balance In An Unbalanced World

Your body keeps the score

In our culture, people often talk about being too busy as a badge of honor. But at what consequence?

You know that feeling when you're juggling too much- tightness in the chest, stomach pain, back pain, sleepless nights...

Have you ever noticed how much better your body feels when you're on vacation or doing something relaxing?

The shocking effects of stress

The National Institute of Health estimates that 60-80% of Dr.'s visits are from stress related conditions.

That's enormous!

Stress can cause depression, anxiety, headaches, digestive issues, cardiac problems, hormone disruption, skin issues, memory impairment, immune system disfunction, aches and pains, insomnia, drug and alcohol dependence, changes in appetite, weight loss and weight gain. To name a few!

The good news is, you can greatly improve your health and wellness by intentionally practicing stress relief!

Stress is like a pot of water on the stove

As long as you're alive, stress is inevitable. There's no way around it. I like to compare it to a pot of water heating on the stove. If you manage your stress, you can keep the heat on low. You can let off steam and prevent the pot from boiling over.

With the right techniques and tools, you can go from burnout to balance!

Because it's not your fault, and it's not a character flaw. You may have ingrained patterns that are unknowingly amplifying your stress.

Check out "Burnout To Balance: Strategies For Daily Calm" for tools and a deeply relaxing hypnosis session! It's free for a limited time!

You have more power than you think

Do you ever think about your thoughts?

A fancy word for that is metacognition. When you notice your automatic thoughts, you can decide if they are helpful or harmful.

An example would be noticing when you're repeating things like, "I'm so stressed out, I'm so busy, I can't handle this."

How can you change your narrative to be more helpful?

If you truly "can't handle it" can you break up large tasks into smaller pieces, take a break, or ask for help?

Where your focus goes, energy flows

Whatever you focus on, you get more of. The problem is, your thinking and behaviors have become a pattern, and you can get stuck focusing on everything that's going wrong in your life and in the world, and everything you don't want to have happen. Hello anxiety!

Imagine if you shifted your attention to the present moment every time you catch yourself thinking about work on your days off?

Learning to intentionally bring your attention to the present moment is a gamechanger for stress relief. Have you ever noticed how often you are thinking about the past or worrying about the future?
