Using Hypnosis To Achieve Your Goals

March 31, 20263 min read

What exactly is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not like it's portrayed in the movies!

Hypnosis is simply a state of focused concentration. The conscious, critical mind moves out of the way, so that the unconscious mind can accept new updates.

Kind of like updating software on your computer to get rid of the glitches, so it actually does what you WANT it to do!

Hypnosis is a natural state

You go in and out of hypnosis all day long.

Have you ever been so sucked into a movie or tv show that you forgot it wasn't real, and you jumped at the scary parts or cried at the sad parts? That's a hypnotic state!

How many times have you found yourself back home and can't really remember the drive because you did it "on autopilot?" Your unconscious mind completely took over the driving and we call this "highway hypnosis."

You can't get stuck in hypnosis

Your mind automatically shifts states.

Some people think hypnosis is a loss of control, but it gives YOU back control. It can help you break the patterns of old beliefs, thoughts, habits and behaviors that feel beyond your control.

And even though they show people stuck in hypnosis for weeks in the movies, that just doesn't happen!

There isn't one "hypnotized" feeling

There's no right or wrong way to feel, and it's all just as effective.

One of the most common questions I get during consultations (go to MindDaisies.com to schedule a free consultation!) is what does it feel like to be hypnotized or what if I can't be hypnotized.

There actually isn't just one hypnotized feeling.

Some people feel light and floaty, others feel heavy and deeply relaxed, and some people can feel like they are simply listening to me talk to them.

Or, you could even experience all of the above, at different times during the session!

You're awake and alert the entire time

Hypnosis is heightened, focused concentration.

The movies may have you believing that hypnosis is a deep sleep.

Actually, you are awake and alert the entire time. You can hear everything that is being said and remember as you would a regular conversation.

Unconscious vs conscious mind

We move the "bodyguard" out of the way

It's very difficult to make changes in the unconscious mind using conscious tools alone.

When you are in a hypnotic state, your critical, conscious mind moves out of the way, and your unconscious mind is able to accept suggestions for change more easily.

You are still fully in control of your thoughts and actions in hypnosis.

Hypnosis helps you focus on what you want

So often, people automatically think about what they DON'T WANT!

Hypnosis can help you filter out all the noise and limiting beliefs, and focus on what you truly want.

During hypnosis, your imagination is activated to experience the changes you are seeking, so that your unconscious mind can accept these changes to be true.

Your mind cannot distinguish between something that really happens and something that is vividly imagined. And your body reacts to your thoughts and feelings.

When you put in directions for where you want to go, instead of where you don't want to go, YOU CAN EASILY ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS!!
